SAO PAULO, Dec 10 (SW) - The coach of the Brazilian national team, Carlos
Alberto Parreira said that there is a complot against Brazil because FIFA
decided that Milan wouldn't lend the player Kaká to the Under 23 National Team
to play the Pre-Olympic games in Chile in January.
"All this is to damage Brazil. They are going to do all that they can to avoid
that we win our sixth championship," said Parreira, talking about the major
national team. "They also don't want Brazil to play the fourth World Cup final
in a row."
Milan managed to convince FIFA to allow the club to refuse lending Kaká for the
Pre Olimpic games that will be played in Chile from the 7th to 25th of January.
"There is a lot of pressure from European clubs on FIFA to not lend the players
to their national teams. I suggest that when a player is transferred, there
should be a rule that lets them play for their national team when they are
called," said Parreira.
"When a club hires a player like Kaká in example, it is already known that he
will be called to the national team so now the club shouldn't have to complain
about anything. They knew before buying him that Brazil was going to call him.
My opinion is that FIFA is getting weaker every day. They don't want problems
for the national teams but they don't help in any way."
"First of all, the board members of the clubs manage to lend their players only
for official games. Then they also added that that the friendly games have to be
played in Europe and if this continues in this way, soon they won't even let us
do that."
