This day in history of Ronaldo
It will be Ronnie’s personal match against Betis. On January 19, 1997 Barça won 2-4 at Benito Villamarin (now Manuel Ruiz de Lopera arena), and Ronnie made the third goal for the Catalans. On October 8, 2002 Ronnie played again in the same arena, but this time in his new white jersey. After a few days from his memorable debut with Real Madrid, he played the extra time of the match which had been postponed due to a black out. The match ended 1-1, scoring Raúl for Real. On February 8, 2003 the two teams played at Bernabeu and the merengues won 4-1. Fernando opened the scoring for Betis, while Raúl, Figo, Zidane, and Ronaldo cameback and gave Real the full scoring. On August 30, 2003 Real Madrid defeated the Andalusians in the first match of the Spanish League 2003-2004. David Beckham scored in the first minute in his debut; after Juanito’s draw, Ronaldo decided the match.
