Lyon free kick expert Juninho
Pernambucano is the only withdrawal from the Brazil squad over the weekend as
they prepare for the clash with the Republic of Ireland at Lansdowne Road on
Wednesday evening (Kick off 7:30).
Juninho injured his knee in a club
game on Sunday and was forced out though coach Carlos Alberta Parreira has
decided not to call anybody in to replace him.
Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto
Carlos all came through weekend games okay and flew into Dublin for Wednesday's
match in confident mood after an unbeaten start to the South American section of
the World Cup qualifiers.
Also included in the squad is
penalty expert Julio Baptiste who scored two spot kicks to complete a hat-trick
for Spanish side Seville in a 3-1 win over Real Murcia on Saturday night while
AC Milan's young sensation Kaka is also included in the squad.
