MADRID, Spain (AP) -- Ronaldo scored twice and
David Beckham assisted on two goals Sunday, helping Real Madrid beat Sevilla 5-1
and regain first place with its first league victory in four games.
Beckham started despite a thigh injury and in
the sixth minute set up Argentine midfielder Santiago Solari. In the 45th minute,
he sent a lofting pass from the right side that Ronaldo headed in. Ronaldo also
scored in the 92nd minute, the Brazilian's 24th league goal.
Valencia beat Racing de Santander 3-0 and has 63
points, one behind Madrid. Deportivo de La Coruna is next with 56, while FC
Barcelona, whose game with Real Betis was postponed because of a soaked field,
has 55.
In other results, it was: Zaragoza 2, Celta de
Vigo 0; Villarreal 0, Atletico de Madrid 0; Valladolid 1, Osasuna 1; Murcia 2,
