June 11 (SW) - Luis Figo has once again express his opinion on his
teammate Deco. The Real Madrid midfielder refuses to agree with the fact
that the former Brazilian chose to play for Portugal.
Although Figo stresses that he has no personal problems with Deco: "I
don't have anything against people who choose to play for an other
country but I think it's a superficial decision. It looks like you're
abusing something. This is my personal opinion and I won't review that
just because he's in the same team," he told Marca.
Deco himself knows about the protests but is not worried about them:
I've always been treated well here and it is a pleasure to play here. I
was born in Brazil and I would be lying if I said i'm completely
Portuguese now, but I love Portugal and like to play for its national
The FC Porto playmaker played a key role in the UEFA Cup victory of 2003
and the Champions League success in 2004. The player is not expected to
appear against Greece, as coach Scolari is likely to field Rui Costa.
