Despite losing the first
leg on Saturday, Real Zaragoza battled their way past Valencia to win
the Supercopa Españole 2004.
Zaragoza only needed eleven minutes to take the lead at Mestalla stadium
in Valencia, as Alvaro put the ball past goalkeeper Cañizares, which was
repeated by Galletti in the 33rd minute for a 0-2 lead.
Valencia found a way back into the match when new signing Corradi scored
for the Bats in the 59th minute but Moreno decided the clash with his
goal for 1-3 in the 82nd minute.
For Zaragoza it was their third Supercopa final, after losing to FC
Barcelona in 1994, and Real Madrid in 2001. |
