Real Madrid midfielder Luis Figo will be
making his comeback in the Portuguese national squad, following a
request from national team coach, the Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari.
While teammate Zinedine Zidane refused to return to the French national
team, Figo feels differently. After ending his international career last
summer, the player said:
"At this moment I feel the need to quit, but I don't know whether this
will be forever, as I have never refused to serve my country and because
nobody can predict the future."
Figo is expected to play his first match against Slovakia in June.
