Following a news release
published today in Spanish sports daily AS, Real Madrid wishes to specify that
the Board of Directors that met yesterday did not discuss, in any way, shape, or
form, the future of Ronaldo or of any other player in the Club.
The Board of Directors met expressly to analyse the Club's financial situation
and to approve the balance sheet as of 31 December to refer it to the Spanish
Sports Council (CSD), as is mandatory. The Board also assessed the Club's
projected financial situation by the end of the current season and shared its
satisfaction with the work of the trainer and his coaching staff.
Additionally, the Club's Board of Directors approved naming the imminent stadium
of Real Madrid City, where Real Madrid Castilla will be playing, Alfredo Di
Stéfano, as a tribute to the Club's most important player in its 104-year
history. The opening will take place within the next few months. |
