Ronaldinho pleads for Brazil's protection
Brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho has asked
the referees in the upcoming World Cup to keep a close eye on Brazil's
opponents, O Globo reported Wednesday.
The player of the year said team Brazil's lightning-paced offensive
style would prompt teams to play extra aggressively.
Brazil has won five World Cup championships -- more than any other
country -- and most recently won in 2002. The tournament is played every
four years.
The Brazilian squad -- led by Ronaldinho and veteran Ronaldo -- is the
bookmakers' and sportwriters' favorite to win again this year.
