Real Madrid will play an important
match against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday at 7 pm CET. Fabio Capello may
have some trouble configuring his defence since Sergio Ramos and
Helguera are mildly injured and Cannavaro injured and suspended. The
former attended this morning's training session at Valdebebas.
Today's was the last training session prior to
Real Madrid's clash versus Basque side Athletic Bilbao, who are
currently at the bottom end of the table and lagging 17 points behind
Real Madrid. The session was similar to those held during the rest of
the week. The players are definitely ready to snatch their fourth
consecutive victory in the Spanish League tomorrow, having trained at an
extremely high pace all week long.
The session was held behind closed doors at Real Madrid City. This was
the fourth consecutive day of hard and concientious training for
Capello's men, following the two-day rest period awarded by the Italian
manager after Sunday's 1-0 victory on Valencian turf.
Real Madrid's boss may have some trouble laying out his defence for
tomorrow's face-off. It is still uncertain if Helguera and Sergio Ramos
will be able to play and will probably remain this way until the very
last minute before the match. Meanwhile, Cannavaro is suspended and
Pavón will almost surely be left out of the squad list. Nevertheless,
Capello has many players available with which to configure a solid
defensive line for tomorrow.
The Real Madrid-Athletic Bilbaos are classic duel in La Liga, to be
reprised once again on Sunday at 7 pm CET. Victory is assured if
Capello's boys play with the intensity they showcased this morning
during training. |
