Ronaldo scored two goals and set up
another in his first start for Milan as Carlo Ancelotti's side beat Siena 4-3 in
their final game before playing Celtic. The Brazilian, however, is ineligible
for the Champions League encounter tomorrow as he has already represented Real
Madrid this season.
"It was a fantastic day," Ronaldo said. "I gave everything I had. I was cramping
up all over the place but I managed to finish the game." The former
Middlesbrough player Massimo Maccaroni scored twice for Siena and it took a
Massimo Ambrosini goal deep into stoppage time to seal the win for Milan. With
Ronaldo missing at Parkhead, the attacking midfielder Kaka will play a crucial
role as the club's other strikers - Alberto Gilardino, Pippo Inzaghi and Ricardo
Oliveira - are low on form and confidence. |
