San Siro given green light to fully reopen
The San Siro stadium in Milan shared by AC and
Inter Milan has been fully reopened, the Italian sports ministry said Saturday.
It means the stadium will be open to the general public, rather than just to
season ticket holders, for the first time since a policeman was killed during
crowd trouble following the Scilian derby between Palermo and Catania on
Sampdoria's visit to AC Milan will be the first game to potentially benefit from
a full house.
The Italian sports ministry said the stadium's facilities and security
arrangements had now come up to scratch.
Fiorentina and Udinese have both also been given the green light to fully open
All stadiums that failed to meet the Italian league's security standards were
closed to the general public following policeman Filippo Raciti's death.
