According to coach Carlo Ancelotti, Milan lacked the right
determination to close the match. Milan must learn to be more ruthless in front
of goal, certain games have to be won at all costs.
BERGAMO - After the defeat to Atalanta, here is what coach Carlo Ancelotti
had to say to Milan Channel's microphones:
"There's great disappointment for tonight's match, especially for how it ended
up. When games can be won, it has to be done. In the first half we started well,
and had some scoring chances, but did not take them. Langella's goal turned the
match on its head, they closed themselves down in the second half and had the
possibility to punish us in the counterattack. We lacked the balance to react in
the second half."
"What's good is that we are doing well, it's a good moment for us, in that sense
this defeat should not have come. Now we have to look ahead because there are
still many games ahead and we can still recover. Now we must think game after
game, but we must learn to be more cynical in certain games."
"The atmosphere tonight? It was terrible, a match without a crowd watching it is
not football, but certainly this is not an alibi to justify the way the game
went, Atalanta did not have fans supporting them either." |
