Ronaldo has been named in the Rossoneri squad for Wednesday
night’s rescheduled Serie A fixture against Livorno at the San Siro.
Carlo Ancelotti is likely to choose two from a pool of four available forwards,
and the Brazilian should start once again, as he did against Siena last weekend.
The other strikers available for selection are Alberto Gilardino, Pippo Inzaghi
and teenager Alberto Paloschi.
Explaining his decision to take Ronaldo off at half-time last weekend, Ancelotti
said that he didn’t want to overstretch him after he had returned sooner than
scheduled: "He was not in optimum shape last Sunday, but we were short of
alternatives,” said the Milan coach.
“I was pleased by Ronaldo’s willingness to lend a hand, even when his fitness
wasn’t ideal,” he added.
