Less than two months since undergoing delicate surgery on his
left knee, Ronaldo is continuing to recover quickly and says that his dream of
kicking a ball again is getting closer to reality each day.
The AC Milan striker says he is feeling good and has promised he will do all in
his power to make a full recovery and repay his colleagues by turning out for
the Rossoneri again.
“I’m certain I will play again because football is in my heart,” Ronaldo told
calciomercato.it this week.
“I’m so passionate about the game that I’m going to do everything possible to
ensure my return. I don’t know how things will work out but my dream is to play
for Milan once more.
“The club, my teammates and the backroom staff have all shown their concern for
me, but ultimately we’ll have to see how things go.
“If I am still good enough to play for Milan then I will repay the club for all
it has done for me,” he pledged.
Ronaldo also spoke about his recovery, which has thus far exceeded the
expectations of his doctors and physiotherapists.
“I certainly feel better than I did 40 days ago,” he said. “I can walk better, I
just need a stick for support. Now I am beginning a new phase in my recuperation.
“Next week I will go to Paris for another monthly check up and for an ultrasound
but I think that everything is going great.
“I know I’ve still got a long road ahead of me and that I need to take it step
by step without creating too much expectation,” he added. |
