Brazilian legend Ronaldo will not be joining a Premier League
club, according to his agent Fabiano Farah, who insisted his client is fully
focused on recovering from his knee injury.
El Fenomeno suffered yet another devastating knee injury for AC Milan towards
the end of last season, having barely recovered from his last layoff, and many
feared the professional career of one of the greatest players of all time was at
an end.
However, his recovery progressed at a promising rate and the striker himself
remained wholly positive in all interviews given to the media, despite numerous
jibes regarding his weight and Milan letting the player leave, contrary to its
previous declarations of loyalty to the three-time FIFA World Player of the Year.
Ronaldo came upon dark days when picking up three transvestite prostitutes in
Brazil that attempted to extort him and ruin his career. Though prostitution is
legal in Brazil, the 31-year-old's reputation took yet another severe blow
following the incident, as he pleaded with the media, insisting he did not know
the ladies of the evening were in fact not ladies at all at the time he acquired
their services.
Nevertheless, his recovery has continued in earnest and by and large out of the
spotlight, with reports on Saturday emanating that the former Barcelona,
Internazionale and Real Madrid man would be signing for an undisclosed Premier
League club this summer.
However, his agent has rubbished the rumours, speaking exclusively to
SetantaSports.com. "[The Premier League link] is completely wrong!" exclaimed
Farah. "Ronaldo's only priority is to totally recover from his knee injury." |
