I'm not ready for national team-Ronaldo
Ronaldo says he's playing well for Corinthians - he's the top goalscorer
- but he's not quite ready to return to playing for Brazil.
That goes against the wishes of many Brazilian reporters and fans who
are asking national coach Dunga to call him up for upcoming World Cup
qualifiers and the Confederations Cup this summer in South Africa.
'Right now I'm not in good enough physical condition to return to the
national team,' Ronaldo said on Friday on a Brazilian website. 'I'm
still looking to be in better shape.'
Ronaldo, 32, is the leading goalscorer in World Cup finals history and
has played in the last four. But he has not played with the national
team since it was knocked out of the 2006 World Cup by France 1-0 in the

at AC Milan and, following surgery, returned to action for Corinthians
in March and has knocked in 10 goals.
'I'm getting better every day, in every practice,' he said. 'I'm pacing
myself, training more. Playing just one time a week is also better for
